The Queen's Royal College Foundation

The Queen's Royal College Foundation is a charitable trust established in 1995 to assist the Queen's Royal College past and present students and staff. The Foundation's major sources of funds are two high profile public events: Outta de Blue, an all-inclusive Carnival fete and The Trinidad and Tobago Steelpan and Jazz Festival (formerly "Pan Royale").

Over the years the Foundation has contributed in excess of $1,500,000 to the recurrent operating deficit of the College which ranges between $800,000 and $950,000 annually. The Foundation's contributions have been spent in the following areas: payments of stipends and salaries to part time and replacement staff; teacher training; repairs, maintenance and replacement of plant and equipment; student welfare; sporting and other co-curricular activities, including those that involve travel overseas.

As the returns from Outta de Blue and Pan Royale grow, so too will the Foundation's ability to increase its contributions to the ongoing pursuit of QRC's vision of "Excellence in Education".
